The holiday season has arrived! Businesses are often stressed about shipping – there’s nothing worse than a package that doesn’t arrive on time. From shipping deadlines to late packages, FlagShip offers tips for small businesses to make the holiday season go smoothly.

  • Offer fast shipping options. If a customer orders a last-minute item for which a cheaper but slower service, such as ground shipping, does not meet the need, be sure to offer an expedited or express delivery service that allows them to choose next-day delivery. With FlagShip’s shipping system, you can easily see shipping options, include anyone who needs to track and much more!
    • Additional tip: You can offer free expedited/express shipping to your customers only if they spend a minimum amount.
  • Schedule a deadline. In order to deliver your shipments before December 24, 2022, the FlagShip team suggests that you make your shipments before December 10, 2022 to take into account any inevitable delays. Please note that courier companies do not deliver on Christmas Day (which is postponed to Monday 26 December) as well as Boxing Day which is postponed to Tuesday 27 December.   • Do not wrap your box with gift paper. Wrapping your box with gift paper brings a nice touch, but this packaging can get caught in sorting systems. Do not ruin your efforts and keep the packaging inside the box. Here are some tips on how to pack like an expert!
  • Customer service is paramount. Offer state-of-the-art customer service by making sure you’re available when customers have questions about the status of their shipment. Your customers will be happy to know that you are always ready to answer their questions or solve their problems – which makes them recommend you to their friends and do business with you again.
