Here are our top 8 tips to when using FlagShip’s online shipping system, and to make your shipping experience even easier!

  1. Enter the postal code first. When you are entering an address for a quote/shipment enter the postal code first, this will automatically populate the city and province for you.
  2. If Purolator does not appear as an option, this means that there is a conflict between the city and the postal code. Return to the recipient’s address information and click the area next to the postal code. This will confirm that the city name and postal code match.
  3. If FedEx does not appear as an option, return to the recipient’s address and remove any information entered in the “Department” field. FedEx does not have a department field on their shipping labels; therefore, if information is entered in this field FedEx is automatically excluded as an option.
  4. If you get an error message indicating a “missing or invalid state/province” for an international shipment, this means that the country that you are shipping to does not have states or provinces like in North America. Return to your recipient’s address and remove any information in the “State/Province” field and replace it with the number “1”.
  5. Always round up when entering the dimensions and weight of a package. The couriers will charge extra for the slightest change in dimensions.
  6. If the courier does not pick up your package on the scheduled date, do not assume that they will come the next day. You need to contact us to reschedule the pick-up.
  7. Every service has a same day pick-up except FedEx Ground. FedEx Ground always picks up the next day and requires a window from 9:00am to 5:00pm in most locations.  Some remote locations may require a window from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
