It’s the last stretch – the holidays are here, and we’ve got some last-minute tips to make sure your holiday packages get delivered on time.
- It’s too late to ship early but it’s not too late to make sure that you have the proper documentation for your packages. When shipping internationally, it is important to include 3 copies of the commercial invoices, make sure your suppliers have the CUSMA Certification to avoid paying duties, and ensure that you are set up for brokerage to avoid delays at the border.
- Ensure the contents of your package can be shipped by the couriers. Purolator, FedEx, UPS, DHL, Canpar and GLS each have their own list of prohibited items so if you aren’t sure if you can ship a certain item or not, just contact our customer service team and we will be more than happy to help you!
- Make sure your items are securely packaged so they do not shift or break during delivery. Gift wrapping your box adds a nice touch but they can get caught in the sorting machines. Don’t ruin your efforts and keep the wrappings inside the box.
